Improving Health Outcomes

With technical support from the AWARE-RH Project, West African regional health institutions and networks working to improve their technical, leadership, and management capacity to respond to the health needs of West Africans.

West African leaders are taking a regional

approach in order to strengthen the efficiency and impact of their response to their countries’ common problems. To support this effort, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) is funding Action for West Africa Region Reproductive Health (AWARE-RH), a five-year initiative that is strengthening the capacity of institutions in 21 countries to address priority health issues in the region.
